From Rust to Glory Shines at the International Motor Film Awards 2025

HB BODY Automotive proudly participated in the 12th Annual International Motor Film Awards in London, where its film From Rust to Glory was nominated for Best Documentary Short.

The 12th Annual International Motor Film Awards took place this year at Alexandra Palace in London, on October 2nd. Known as the “Oscars of the automotive world,” the awards celebrate creative excellence in automotive filmmaking, bringing together leading creators and brands from around the globe.

Among this year’s nominees was HB BODY, with its award-winning film “From Rust to Glory.” The project which was nominated in the Best Documentary Short category, captured the inspiring journey behind the restoration of a classic Land Rover Series 3 by Steve Brown, Technical Manager at HB BODY UK. Steve alongside the director of the film, Steve Ketner, and the HB BODY team attended the ceremony in London to celebrate the film’s success.

Steve Brown has earned recognition as one of the leading figures in automotive restoration, known for his attention to detail and innovative approach. His restored Land Rover Series 3 stands as a testament to HB BODY’s quality and reliability. Utilizing the Color Solutions Mix System and other HB BODY refinishing products, Steve achieved a stunning finish that combines beauty with performance. The project also earned him the “Restorer of the Year” award from Practical Classics magazine. 

Although From Rust to Glory did not take home the top award, HB BODY takes great pride in its nomination and participation in such a prestigious event. The recognition reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and the passion that fuels the automotive refinishing world.
